According to a statement, the founders of the startups had raised Rs 46 lakh through crowdfunding platforms as of late Thursday local time, the report said. Their previous goal was to raise Rs 50 crore for the purchase of 3,000 oxygen generators.
The founders said they had procured 500 oxygen generators from China that could be delivered to hospitals by April 28 and put into use. A further 500 units are expected to be ordered on the evening of the 24th.
India is grappling with an "oxygen crisis". On Monday, Sahir Baruya, co-founder of Indian logistics startup Delhivery, announced on LinkedIn that the company would "use charter flights to transport oxygen generators and other essential items to India and can increase the volume of purchases as needed."

About 347,000 confirmed cases of COVID-19 were reported in India in the past 24 hours, up slightly from about 332,000 the previous day, according to data released by the health ministry on Thursday.
