Many customers may also have questions in this regard, why it is necessary to use an ozone generator for sterilization instead of ultraviolet radiation. Ultraviolet radiation is cheaper than ozone generators, and can also be sterilized! So let's talk about the difference between ultraviolet radiation sterilization and ozone generator. Due to the large volume of the ultraviolet lamp, the low ozone output, and the short service life, this kind of generator has a narrow range of use and is often used in disinfection cupboards.

      We mainly talk about why we need to use ozone generator for sterilization. The following four points are summarized the benefits of ozone machine sterilization.

  (1) Ozone has strong penetrating power and no dead ends.  Ultraviolet rays only have a sterilization effect when they reach the surface of the object and reach a certain intensity standard. Food workshops are generally tall and large, so that the intensity of ultraviolet radiation is far from enough, especially when the distance is long, the radiation produces a lot of blind spots, such as processing the lower part of the chopping board. Ozone is a gas with strong permeability, good diffusibility, uniform concentration and no dead ends;

  (2) Fast sterilization speed. Ultraviolet radiation sterilization requires a long action time, generally more than 6 hours of exposure, while the ozone meeting the standard concentration only needs to be turned on for more than 1 hour;

  (3) The sterilization effect is better under high humidity. When the relative humidity of the environment reaches more than 60%, the sterilization effect of ultraviolet radiation will drop sharply. When the humidity reaches more than 80%, it can induce bacteria to resurrect. The opposite is true for ozone. The higher the humidity, the better the sterilization effect. This is because the cell membrane swells and becomes thinner under high humidity, and its tissue is easily destroyed by ozone. This feature is particularly suitable for the high humidity environment that prevails in the food industry;

  (4) Has a low-concentration cleaning function. The production personnel must leave the site during ultraviolet irradiation, and can not use low-power ultraviolet radiation to clean after the irradiation is completed; the production personnel must leave the site during ozone disinfection. After the disinfection is completed, the ozone generation can be reduced and continue with low-concentration ozone that meets national health standards. Keep the air in the production workshop clean.

          Therefore, it is recommended to use ozone generators instead of ultraviolet germicidal lamps for sterilization. Although ultraviolet germicidal lamps are cheap, they are not as effective as ozone. From the effect and safety issues, the ozone generator is the first choice
